  • Passengers are greeted at Boston’s Logan International Airport and are immediately transported to the days of the “shot heard round the world” with a tour of Lexington Common National Historic Site and Minute Man National Historic Park. In the evening, there is an introduction to the tour and a chance to get acquainted over a welcome drink.

  • We spend the day in Boston visiting sites on the Freedom Trail, where we learn about African-American patriots and their accomplishments during the American Revolution.

  • In the morning, we travel to Saratoga, New York and visit Saratoga National Historic Park, the site of the first significant American victory of the American Revolution. We also visit the home of Philip Schuyler, senator from New York and general of the Continental Army who was active in preparing a defense against the Saratoga Campaign, part of the “three pronged attack” strategy of the British to cut the American Colonies in two by invading and occupying New York State in 1777. We overnight in Albany, New York.

  • This day is dedicated to the discovery of the development of the United States Army at West Point, which was identified by General George Washington as the most important strategic position in America during the American Revolution. We also learn about Benedict Arnold’s great treason. From there, we travel to New York City.

  • We spend the day in Lower Manhattan’s Financial District to learn about how the city went from colonial port to the financial capital of the world. We also focus on the Loyalists who flooded the city from other colonies and learn about life for a Loyalist during the war. Some free time in the afternoon allows passengers to explore the Big Apple on their own.

  • As we travel to Philadelphia, we visit Washington Crossing Historic Park where George Washington crossed the Delaware River and turned the tide of the Revolutionary War. We also visit Valley Forge National Historical Park, the site of the 1777-78 winter encampment of the Continental Army. This afternoon we also learn about the Marquis de Lafayette and the involvement of the French during the war.

  • We visit sites on the American Revolution Tour of Philadelphia including Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell and Christ Church Burial Ground, the final resting place of statesman Benjamin Franklin.

  • We visit Brandywine Battlefield National Historic Park, which brings to life the largest engagement of the Revolutionary War, fought on September 11, 1777, between the Continental Army led by General George Washington and the British forces headed by General William Howe. The afternoon offers some free time to explore Philadelphia.

  • After saying goodbye, our guests are brought to Philadelphia International Airport for their flights home.
